This is a sultry novel of greed, corruption and sizzling passion in Charleston after the depression. Times are changing, and dangerous, especially for the heroine who finds that curses often come in the guise of blessings when she inherits a fortune and finds herself fighting for her life. Disclaimer I had the pleasure of pre-reading this novel before publication. I enjoyed it so much I requested a blurb on the title page. I highly recommend Blood Will Tell to lovers of historical romance.
When i use the term limonade i think of something sweat but refreshing. I enjoyed reading this book and even more it was fun to submerge in the southern mentality and lifstyle.
Really - this was a complete waste of time! So predictable- the connection between the main characters was too unbelievable. Did this author forget her storyline? The heroine married her cousin!,
Loved this book. Well developed characters and an intriguing plot make it a great read. Both an action thriller and a romance novel, Blood Will Tell will keep you engrossed until the very last page.
While not a story that grabs you and you just can't put it down, this book was enjoyable to read and well worth 4 stars.
The plot was good, very believable and well thought out.
I am not usually a fan on period books (although I suppose the 1930's could not be really classed in this way), but the writer did an excellent job of keeping me reading.
Great southern mystery with a bit of romance and a shade of the great makings of a family saga thrown in! This book far exceeded my expectations, getting better and better as it progressed. Complex plot which kept me guessing, discarding and revisiting characters as probable suspects right up to the end. Highly recommended.
